We are fundraising to provide long term shelter for victims in our care!

We are thrilled to be able to help victims all over the state of California as well as other locations such as Texas, Hawaii, and Missouri! We do not say "no" to any victim that needs our help and we are proud to be a survivor led organization. We strive to create a safe space for all victims to feel accepted, understood and believed. Our organization is built upon the passion and expertise of those who are willing to help restore the lives of sex trafficking victims. We walk alongside survivors through their trauma recovery, offering hope and resources to recover from the life. Our goal is to not have victims feel like they're just surviving but actually thriving.

There are currently no long-term housing facilities in California specifically for sex trafficking victims. The facilities in the state that do exist cater to various types of victims, which can make it difficult for sex trafficking survivors to feel understood and supported. This lack of understanding and support often leads victims to return to the life of sex trafficking. The plan is for the Arukah Project to purchase and convert a property into a code-compliant space that offers victims comfort and support as they confront their trauma. This is a unique opportunity and the next step in the growth. This allows us to continue the positive impact that we have made by providing various forms of therapy to treat each victim's mind, body, and spirit.

In the initial phase of housing survivors, the community house, will outsource essential services while navigating the licensing process. Due to local regulations, a community house is unable to offer direct services without proper licensing. This process requires both time and financial resources. As a practical measure, we believe that contracting services externally is the most viable option to begin housing survivors as soon as possible. By establishing a network of trusted service providers, Arukah Project can ensure that survivors receive the necessary support, including medical care, counseling, and legal assistance. This transitional approach will allow the organization to focus on creating a safe and nurturing environment for survivors, while systematically working towards obtaining the required licenses to offer comprehensive, in-house services in the future.
